6. Refinish Another Piece of Furniture
The first piece of furniture I refinished was our dining room table. I was amazed at how much less difficult it was than I anticipated, but how big of a difference it made when it was done. This year, one of my goals was to listen to every record I own while digitizing them. I accomplished this, and realized the bookshelf we had left all 300 records on was sagging and didn't look very nice. My goal was to build a nicer shelf for the records and player we would decide to keep. While shopping with Jess at Ann Arbor Recycle, I found the perfect piece for 40.00. With a little help from some laminate stain and white paint, I took care of it in a weekend. Here are the before and after shots!
Update: Just started refinishing a cool old metal bookshelf that I bought from Calvary Christian Academy. Working on it now, so you'll see the before picture. After is still to come....
